This summer, Albina Music Trust celebrates the 45th Anniversary of the Time Sound Big Band. For more than four decades, Time Sound has brought generations of musicians together, carrying forward a legacy of Black music, mentorship, and community that continues to inspire and shape Portland's musical landscape.

Join us on Saturday, August 8th at Washington Park's Rose Garden Amphitheater for a free, all-ages celebration featuring Time Sound alumni, longtime collaborators, and special guests. Many of this year's featured artists are descendants of original band members, reflecting the intergenerational spirit that has always been at the heart of Time Sound.

Under the direction of Greg McKelvey and Ken Berry, this milestone performance will feature Tahirah Memory, The Legendary Beyons, Arietta Ward & Friends, and Dennis Springer, honoring 45 years of music while celebrating the community carrying the Time Sound legacy forward.
