FAQs
What is Albina Music Trust?
Albina Music Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the historic Black musical culture of Albina—Black Portland. We collect, restore, and activate archival materials through public programs, exhibitions, events, radio, and education.
What is the Albina Community Archive?
The Albina Community Archive is a living collection of photographs, recordings, film, documents, and ephemera connected to Albina’s Black music history. With more than 13,000 items, it is the largest archive dedicated to Black Oregonians’ cultural legacy in the state.
How can I contribute to the archive?
If you have photographs, recordings, flyers, memorabilia, or stories connected to Albina’s music community, we’d love to hear from you. You can reach out through our contact page to start a conversation—nothing is added to the archive without care, consent, and collaboration.
Are your events open to the public?
Most Albina Music Trust events are open to the public, and many are free. Event details, locations, and accessibility information are shared on our Events page and through our email newsletter.
