soul walk north launch party

The Soul Walk North launch party was next to Lillis-Albina Park. This street party featured community orgs, local food vendors, music, and a gathering space where folks could begin the walk. Soul Walk North invites users to visit historic landmarks where music thrived in Portland’s Black community. The experience invites users to learn about Albina’s past, listen to the music that built its legacy, and hear from those helping to shape its future.

Our community partners for the event included: 1803 Fund, Albina Vision Trust, Antonio Harris Photography, Billy Webb Elks Lodge, Deadstock Coffee, DJ O.G. ONE, KMHD Jazz Radio, Let ‘Em Cook, Lewis & Clark College, Meyer Memorial Trust, Multnomah County Public Library, Oregon Black Pioneers, Portland Art Museum, Portland City Archives, Portland Housing Center, Portland Trail Blazers, Prismid Sanctuary, Taking Ownership, Williams & Russell CDC, Word Is Bond, World Stage Theater, and XRAY FM.
